Hazelnuts have a slightly sweet and, unsurprisingly, nutty flavour. The crunchy texture makes them a welcome ingredient in bread, biscuits, cakes, and as a tastier substitute for almonds in biscotti. Their subtle sweetness also allows you to be able to reduce the sugar content in your recipes. Here are some of our favourite recipes for when you are not enjoying them as a standalone healthy, nutritious snack.
